One of the most popular questions from the taxpayers in the Town of Delavan has been, “How Much Revenue Do We Get From The Waters Edge Building?” Regardless of how you feel about the Waters Edge Building, the building has been remodeled beautifully and it is available for rent, and when it is rented, the town wins! Henri, Love and Kyle are the new managers of Waters Edge. They and the Town Hall receive numerous phone calls a day asking about how to rent the facility, and these three amazing individuals are doing an excellent job following through to get rentals.
In keeping my promise to keep the towns people informed, I am offering this as my final parting post. Here are the details you’ve been dying to know.
Below is a list of possible rental scenarios for the Waters Edge Building. Next to that title is the amount that the Town of Delavan will RECEIVE as a result of that particular rental. The number listed below is the amount that the Town RECEIVES each time and an event of that specific scenario occurs at Waters Edge. Please note that this is a breakdown of what the Town of Delavan will RECEIVE and NOT what a patron is charged in each of the given scenarios.

At the Annual Town Meeting on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, the following motion was made: Supervisor Phillips made a motion requesting that the Town Board review and amend the Friends of the Park contract to state that Friends of the Park is required to provide a monthly report to the Town of Delavan showing how much revenue is coming back to the Town from Waters Edge. This information should also be publicized on the town website to provide transparency. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Hartlaub. The motion carried 23-0.
That being said, if you want to keep track of what the town is receiving back from the rentals at Waters Edge, you can find those details on our website www.townofdelavan.com, and/or in the Town Board Minutes. You can also submit a records request asking for that information.
If you would like to rent the Waters Edge Building for an event please contact Love, Henri or Kyle at 262-248-2555 or [email protected]
A rental at Waters Edge, in any capacity, is a win for the Town of Delavan!
Blessings to each of you! I’m signing off.

Town Clerk (April 2021 to April 2022)
