Special Brush Pickup – Updated February 27, 2023
The Town of Delavan Public Works Department will be going through the Town picking up branches, limbs, etc. from trees which fell as a result of the recent ice storm.
- Residents may cut up their limbs and branches and place them to the curb; NOT in the street.
- All limbs and branches may not be larger than 6 inches in diameter and 3-6 feet in length; they must be stacked at the curb.
- Any items larger than the maximum allowed will NOT be taken.
This special brush pickup will be weather dependent and start possibly at the end of this week. Given the amount of damage throughout the Town; an exact time for picking up items is not possible, and may take months to complete. We will only be spending 15 minutes max at each location. If you have amounts greater then listed, please contact a private service.
- Public Works will go through the Town and pick up items as time allows.
- Items creating a public hazard (blocked streets, obstructed sidewalks, etc.) will have priority.
- Obviously pick up will be halted if Public Works has to plow snow or address other, more pressing work tasks.
If a tree limb is at risk or on a power line please call Alliant (800) 255-4268
Residents will also have the option of dropping off broken tree limbs to the Town drop off site starting next week, weather permitting.
