Storm Debris Pickup Begins Monday, July 6

Storm debris pickup will begin Monday, July 6, in the hardest-hit areas of the Town.

Residents may also drop off brush during normal business hours at the Highway Shop with proof of Town residency. Contractors are not permitted to drop off brush. Please note that the Town cannot accept wood chips or chipped material.

A second round of debris collection will be conducted as additional storm debris is placed at the roadside. Due to the widespread damage, cleanup efforts will take several weeks. We appreciate your patience as Town crews continue working throughout the community.

As power is restored, please turn off unnecessary electrical appliances and equipment to help reduce demand on the electrical system. If you detect the odor of natural gas, leave the area immediately and call 911. Do not contact your local utility first.

DUE TO THE STORMS OVER THE WEEKEND THE PUBLIC WORKS CREW IS IN THE PROCESS OF CLEANING UP ONLY THE ROAD HAZARDS. ONCE THEY COMPLETE THAT CLEAN UP, THEY WILL START A SPECIAL BRUSH PICK UP. THIS PROCESS WILL TAKE A FEW WEEKS BEFORE THEY CAN BEGIN A RESIDENTIAL BRUSH PICK UP. PLEASE FOLLOW THE BELOW GUIDLINES WHEN PLACING OUT TO YOUR CURB.

  • Crews are limited to 15 minutes per location.
  • Pick up is for trimming of brush and trees, no fully cut trees (no bagged materials)
  • Tree limbs cannot exceed six (6) inches in diameter

  • No foreign material in pile.  (No rocks, steel, wire, metal, lumber, garbage, etc.).
