Seasonal Weight Restrictions:     Seasonal Weight Limit Restrictions in Effect  The Highway Department has officially posted seasonal weight limit restrictions on designated roadways. These limits are in place to help protect our roads during the seasonal thaw when pavement is most vulnerable to damage.   We ask all drivers, especially those operating heavy vehicles, to adhere to posted restrictions and use alternate routes when necessary. Your cooperation helps maintain the integrity of our roads and ensures safe travel for everyone.   For questions or additional information, please contact the Highway Department at 262-728-6411. Thank you for your attention and compliance!

Help Us Help You – Display Your Pier Number!

🚨 Help Us Help You – Display Your Pier Number! 🚨

When seconds count during an emergency on the lake, knowing exactly where to go makes all the difference. That’s why it’s crucial to have your pier properly marked  and reflective signage is strongly encouraged. This speeds up our ability to get the right resources to the right place, faster. It also helps boaters, who—if the need arises—can report an emergency by providing the address number displayed on a pier.

In the Town of Delavan, displaying pier numbers is not just recommended — it’s required.
Per Town Ordinance 19.18(8)(a):
✔ All piers must display numbers at least 3” high, in a contrasting color, and clearly visible
✔ Subdivisions or Associations must label main piers with the subdivision name and number the remaining piers
✔ Non-compliance may result in a $187.00 citation

🏷️ Consider utilizing the Town’s recommended reflective address signs on your pier. These signs are highly visible both day and night and greatly assist our first responders in getting to the correct location sooner.

👉 Signs can be ordered directly through the Town of Delavan here:

The Town of Delavan Police Department Marine Unit will be focusing on education and compliance throughout the season to help improve lake safety for all.

✅ Please do your part — mark your pier, and help us help you in an emergency.
