Delavan Community Beach Advisory: Delavan Community Beach regularly checks the water quality to keep visitors informed  Recent tests show higher levels of E. coli bacteria in the water near the shore. Because these levels are above safe standards, a swim advisory has been issued. Signs at the beach will indicate this advisory, see photo below for examples.   Swimming in water with high E. coli levels can cause stomach illnesses. However, E. coli levels can change over time so the advisory might not always reflect current conditions.   For the latest updates, maps, and information on which beaches are open,  visit https://apps.dnr.wi.gov/beachhealth/healthmap.aspx. Signs at the beach will also be updated regularly with the most current information.

Friends of the Park

Delavan Friends of the Parks is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2016. The three-person volunteer Board of Directors is made up of Town of Delavan residents (one appointed by the Town of Delavan Chair) and an owner or operator of a lodging facility collecting room tax that is located in the Town.

Friends of the Park Mission

Promote and develop tourism for the Town of Delavan, with an emphasis on public town parks, buildings, and amenities
Market, create, and distribute materials to recruit tourists to the Town of Delavan
Lessen the burdens of government for the citizens of the Town of Delavan, Wisconsin, by relieving the town, in part, of its burdens of maintaining, improving, and hosting events at its parks
