Volunteers Needed for Independence Day Celebration 6/26: The Town of Delavan Independence Celebration & Food Truck Festival, for the Town of Delavan, is Saturday, June 26th, 2021 from 4pm - 11pm at Delavan Community Park (1220 South Shore Drive - Delavan). We need your help to make our event a success.  Help Needed in the Following Areas on Saturday, June 26th  2pm-4pm Set-UP (4 people needed) - Help put out tables, chairs, signs, assist direct vendors, etc 3:45pm-7:15pm Beer/Wine Booth (4 people needed) - Assist with beer/wine sales, check IDs, sell tickets, licensed bar tender will be on site supervising *must be 18+ 7pm-11:15pm Beer/Wine Booth (4 people needed) - Assist with beer/wine sales check IDs, sell tickets, licensed bar tender will be on site supervising *must be 18+ 3:45pm-8pm Waters Edge Information Booth (2 people needed) - Answer questions about Waters Edge, Park, Town, etc and have the first aid kit if needed. 4pm-9:30pm Playground Attendant (1people needed) Supervise the playground/beach area. 2021 Crops Planting Official Notice

PUBLIC NOTICE

Town of Delavan

The Delavan Town Board wishes to remind town residents that all town roadways are 66 feet wide. Any crops planted within this 66-foot span will be mowed as part of normal roadway maintenance. 

No person shall, within the limits of any public highway, plow, cultivate or otherwise work any lands in such manner as to interfere with or obstruct the drainage in any public highway ditch, nor shall any person operate any farm or other machinery on, over, along or across any public highway in such manner as to materially damage the said highway.  § 86.021(1).  Adequate drainage, good road condition and good visibility are all essential to the safety of highway users.

Any property owners who are in doubt about the exact roadway boundaries may contact Public Works Manager Tom Thiele, at the Town Hwy Department, 728-6411, for assistance.
